What shape is our Constitution in??

President Bush's penchant for writing exceptions to laws he has just signed violates the Constitution, an American Bar Association task force says in a report highly critical of the practice.The ABA group, which includes a one-time FBI director and former federal appeals court judge, said the president has overstepped his authority in attaching challenges to hundreds of new laws.The attachments, known as bill-signing statements, say Bush reserves a right to revise, interpret or disregard measures on national security and constitutional grounds."This report raises serious concerns crucial to the survival of our democracy," said the ABA's president, Michael Greco. "If left unchecked, the president's practice does grave harm to the separation of powers doctrine, and the system of checks and balances that have sustained our democracy for more than two centuries."The task force said the statements suggest the president will decline to enforce some laws. Bush has had more than 800 signing statement challenges, compared with about 600 signing statements combined for all other presidents.

OK What is this all about??? Why would one president find a reason to flag these laws that the Judicial body of our government saw fit to create. Just the shear volume of bill-signing statements would cause alarm by itself. but there might be more at work here than you see at first. It seems like a grab for a more far reaching power from the Executive branch of government. To leave laws basically open to being overturned by the Executive branch......or interpreted by Justice Sam Alito who saw the use of these back in the Regan Era.It appears that little by little this President is trying to set the Executive branch of government up as the first and last word on how things will be. All the decisions made in this country shall be made by only one man or a cadre of the inner circle......Then we will no longer live in a Democracy. Don't think this can't or won't happen. Remember your past.....or your doomed to repeat it. Don't let your personal freedoms be eroded for ANY reason. There is a Constitution and it mandates 3 branches of government. All equal in weight, none having the last word......checks and balances.

Remember these words..."Absolute power corrupts, Absolutely"

Becoming Aware

As I look around me at the world, I think about the things I have learned (personal experience) and the things I have been taught (other peoples experiences) To tell the honest truth I have learned much more in my life then I have ever been taught……but somehow I have been focused more on what I’m being taught then on what I am learning. This difference is subtle yet important.

Being taught is what happens in a classroom. Like automatons kids are TAUGHT what the powers that be want them to learn. I do really mean those words. We are not awakened to the limitless possibilities of human nature…. We are told what to believe and what is “fact”. My experience has told me that facts are only facts until they are dis-proven or shown to be only a first step in understanding.

One thing I was TAUGHT is that “RELIGION” was there to bring comfort to my soul and the soul of the world. The Religious organizations were always in a self professed struggle for our souls with the "powers of darkness"….and only adhering to their word would keep me on a path of righteousness so that I and we would be “acceptable” to the heavenly father. I want you to realize the significance of the fact we are called a “flock” or a “following” and we ACCEPT that term as something endearing and born in love.

Then I looked in my own life and my friends lives and I LEARNED that natural instinct is to want our children to reach and achieve more then we ever did. So am I to conclude the following..if the church speaks for the heavenly father, does the heavenly father want me, his child, to achieve nothing more then to perfect subservience? He does not wish for me what I wish for my own children? Does that make any sense, Or are the words I am being told to believe and follow the words of some person or group that wants to control me? Who's words ARE these and why do I give them more weight then my life's experience? Do I want to just follow leaders blindly and accept what is told to me by people in power ( religious leaders and heads of governments) or supposedly in the “know”or do I want to open my eyes and use my LEARNED life experience to guide me forward?

Have you ever contemplated that there is a vested interest in retaining the status-quo? You and I are to blame for this too because it's EASIER to accept what is told to you....but what about when you get that nagging feeling in your stomach that something just isn't adding up ... doesn't maintaining the status-quo explain allot of “stuff” they tell you not to think about or worry about (Roswell incident) or science that had been learned that was “too important” for the general public to know about (read about Nikola Tesla ) until it had been fully militarized. What great scientific advances are under wraps or just plain being discredited because they are in the public domain? Why don’t they encourage in earnest new scientific endeavors until they try to fully realize how it can be used as an offensive or defensive weapon?

It’s time to remove the wool that has been intentionally pulled over our eyes all these century’s. With the advent of the internet and the decentralization of storage on the web, it is becoming impossible for the continued control of what information you are given. The lies you have been told can now be debunked, the misdirections uncovered and the conspiracies revealed. They try to counter act this by going on the offense to debunk the debunkers or call the newer scientific advances frauds, which in turn has creating a war for your mind. The key word in that last phrase is YOUR mind.

All I hope to achieve with this blog is to have a space in which we can examine different views and bits of knowledge that are out there. My intention is to post things that interest me and might interest you too. Maybe even a place for the synergy of energy to bring like minds here to meet, talk and exchange views on the material presented here.
