What happened to the Great Society?

What about all of the graft and corruption?? The influence peddling on Capitol Hill has become so brazen and so common that I fear our "Great Society" is far less. I'm not proud of nor was I part of the past when we used to go exploit other countries for whatever we could get....and by no means am I saying that that was good policy or even close to being humanitarian. Well now it seems as if our government has turned on it's own, and started to devour us in much the same way. Willing to sell our society so a few people can become super rich....and the culture of greed is so deep they are grabbing the money with both hands and thinking they can do it forever with impunity.

The engine is money and the quest for more. Bigger profits make investors happy....so that drives decisions like do we continue manufacturing something here in the US and pay a reasonable wage and some benefits to the worker who lives in this country and pays taxes in this country....or do we outsource it to a location where we can pay a severely sub-standard wage and no benefits?

All this influence peddling, graft and corruption will come to the surface as we start to change the people in power. My father used to tell me...."son, oil ALWAYS comes to the top of water, and lies are like oil"! We are seeing that principle come into play now, and I only pray they ALL get caught. Shame on them for what they have been doing!!
Remember...the big dollars get out the big votes, we have to take back our government and get it to start serving it's people in a humble way.....not serving us up like a wheat for the mill. Register and vote!!! Let me know how YOU feel about it!

Here's an interesting set of numbers for you!

OK America......What do you think of this? Are these NBA OR NFL athletes??

36 have been accused of spousal abuse
7 have been arrested for fraud
19 have been accused of writing bad checks
117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses
3 have done time for assault
71,repeat 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit
14 have been arrested on drug-related charges
8 have been arrested for shoplifting
21 currently are defendants in lawsuits
84 have been arrested for drunk driving IN THE LAST YEAR!!!

Can you guess which organization this is?

Give up yet? . . . Scroll down,

It's Not the NFL...or the NBA...

it's the 535 members of the United States Congress.
The same group of people that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line.

30-minute kissing session may suppress the body's allergic reaction to pollen, providing welcome relief from hay fever, a new study suggests.

Scientists based at the Satou hospital in Japan found that kissing worked by relaxing the body and reducing the production of histamine – a chemical that the body produces in response to pollen, causing the sneezing, runny noses and streaming eyes that characterise hay fever attacks

I like the idea of a 30 min kissing session daily!

Do you think that is what Representative Mark Foley was really trying to do? Just help a young boy get over his allergies??

Were we too quick to judge?? LOL
